Canadian stocks market: first half of the year results.

Dear readers. We hope you’re enjoying summer weather, vacation season and rest with your family but you are not forgetting what investing is about. It is about staying on top of the markets. We’d like to analyze behavior of the worlds’ stock markets that have brought different results during first six months of this year.

This year has begun from the market’s slump (14% during the third week of January) provoked by recession apprehension in USA and continued consequences of the crisis on the credit market. Credit crisis that has begun the last year was caused by hypothec loans’ refusals and losses in value of bank promissory notes connected with these loans. In March this year the crisis has forced the biggest American bank - Bear Stearns - to sell itself to the competitor – JPMorgan.
